National Guidelines for the Implementation and Development of Healthy Environment Strategies

Summary:

The guidelines were created to contribute to the creation of a sustainable environment through coordinated action, that allows for the adequate development of children, young people, families and communities in their individual, family and collective habitat.

Description:

The guidelines were developed by the National Technical Committee on Healthy Environments [Comité Técnico Nacional de Entornos Saludables], composed of government representatives, the Pan-American Health Organization, academic and civil society organizations. The guidelines are built on the concept of sustainable development and the Millennium Declaration.
